Your votes always count
No more votes lost to a mistyped name.
Once your character is linked, servers recognise you for sure, even if you change your name or make a typo when voting.
No more votes lost to a mistyped name.
The server knows who to deliver them to, even if you change your name.
With an account on the site, choose the name you want to show: rankings, map status, winners.
Join one of the server’s maps, then click the “🔗 Link” button on its Discord.
Give your platform name: the bot sends you a code as a private message, in the game.
Type this code on Discord: done, you’re recognised for good.
Bonus: also connect your Discord to your site account (My account): your character is picked up automatically, and votes made from the site are recognised.
Create a free account on the site, then in “My account › My ARK character”, enter your EOS ID by hand. When you vote while logged in, your vote comes with your EOS ID: the server can use it to recognise you.
It depends on the server: ask the owner whether they use it. An EOS ID typed by hand isn’t checked in game, so it’s not enough on a server that requires a linked account. Where do I find my EOS ID?
Link on Discord works without an account. The free account adds recognised votes from the site and your display name.
ℹ️ By default, the only name the server sees (through RCON, in the list of connected players) is the platform name: Steam, Epic, PlayStation or Xbox.
👉 By default, type your platform name (DodoRider). But your server decides: check its instructions (its Discord, its vote page) to know which name to use.
| Name | Example | What it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| 💬 Discord name | ❌ Not for voting Only on Discord (mentions, private messages). | |
| 🎮 Platform name | DodoRider | ✅ By default Steam, Epic, PlayStation or Xbox: the only name the server sees. That’s the one to type on the vote page. |
| 🦖 Character name | Bernard | ⚠️ Depends on the server Only works if the server’s plugin or bot has already linked the player to their character. |
🔗 Once linked (Link), all three are joined under one EOS ID: the player is recognised whatever name they type, and always shows under their platform name.
🔒 Players’ EOS IDs are never shown publicly. Server owner? This way.
