📖 Glossary
The technical words of the site and the bot, explained simply: what they are and where to find them.
EOS ID
The unique ID of your game account in ARK: Survival Ascended (32 characters, digits and letters a to f, e.g. 0002a1b2c3…). It doesn’t change when you change your name or character, and it’s the same on every server: it’s how you’re recognised for sure and how your rewards are delivered.
📍 Where to find it? The easiest way: do “Link” on the Discord of a server that uses our bot, then click “🆔 My EOS ID”. A server’s admins see it in the online players list.
Implant ID
The number of your character on a server (digits only). Some game commands, like GiveItemToPlayer, use it instead of the EOS ID. It depends on the character and the server: it changes if you create a new character or play on another server.
📍 Where to find it? In game, open your inventory: the implant is in the first slot. Hover over it (or tap it): the number shown is your ID. On Discord, the “🪪 My implant ID” button lets you give it to the bot.
Platform name
Your Steam, Epic, PlayStation or Xbox name, as shown in the in-game player list. It’s the only name the server sees (not your character name): that’s the one to type on the vote page.
📍 Where to find it? In the in-game player list, or with the “🎮 My name” button on the server’s Discord.
Link
The link between your Discord account and your ARK character (your EOS ID). Once linked, your votes and rewards always reach the right character, whatever name you type.
📍 Where to find it? On the Discord of a server that uses our bot: “🔗 Link” button, give your in-game name, the bot sends you a code as a private message in game, type it on Discord.
RCON
A “remote console”: it sends commands to an ARK server without being in game (player list, messages, admin commands). Our bot uses it to see who is online, deliver rewards and shop items, and run the cross chat.
📍 Where to find it? For the owner: the server’s public IP address, the RCON port and the admin password, in the host’s settings (Nitrado: server settings) or in GameUserSettings.ini (RCONEnabled=True, RCONPort).
ScriptCommand
Commands added by mods, sent via RCON as “scriptcommand …”. Useful on servers without plugins (like Nitrado): some mods use them to deliver a dino or an item straight to a player using their EOS ID.
📍 Where to find it? In the mod’s description on CurseForge (e.g. Configurable Cryopods).
Cluster
A group of maps of the same server between which players can travel with their dinos and items. A server can have several clusters (e.g. a fast one and a slower one).
📍 Where to find it? For the owner: in the bot’s Maps tab, the “Cluster” field of each map.
