ARK ASA RCON commands: give a dino or an item to a player
For your vote rewards or your Discord shop, the bot sends admin commands over RCON. The tricky part: targeting the right player. Here’s what works.
Bot variables
{eos}: the player’s EOS ID (unique ID, known thanks to Link).{name}: their name.{playerid}: their implant ID (number shown on their character’s implant, asked by the bot).{item}and{server}: item name and your server name.
1. The easiest: a mod that targets the EOS ID
Some mods accept the EOS ID directly. Example with the Configurable Cryopods mod: give a level 150 T-Rex in a cryopod.
scriptcommand SpawnCryo /Game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Rex/Rex_Character_BP.Rex_Character_BP,150,4,{eos}The exact syntax is described on the mod’s CurseForge page. It’s also the command used by the shop’s example item.
2. Without a mod: the game command
GiveItemToPlayer targets the player’s implant ID (not the EOS ID):
GiveItemToPlayer {playerid} "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Weapons/PrimalItem_WeaponOneShotRifle.PrimalItem_WeaponOneShotRifle'" 1 0 0The numbers: quantity, quality, blueprint (1) or item (0). Each item’s path can be found in ARK ASA item lists.
3. Other useful admin commands
GiveExpToPlayer {playerid} 5000 0 0: experience.ServerChatTo "{eos}" Thanks for your vote!: a private message in game.- Points for your in-game shop plugin, if you have one (its command, with
{eos}).
Good to know
- Up to 5 commands per reward or per item.
- The command is sent to the map where the player is online. If they aren’t, nothing is charged.
- Test every command on yourself before selling it.
