Install a vote bot on a Nitrado ARK ASA server (no plugin)

On an ARK: Survival Ascended server rented from Nitrado, you can’t install a vote plugin: Nitrado doesn’t allow them. The solution: our free Discord bot, which uses your server’s RCON. It sees who is online, recognises the player who votes and delivers their reward in game, automatically. It takes about ten minutes.

1. Enable RCON on Nitrado

In your Nitrado dashboard, open your ARK ASA server, then its settings.
Make sure the RCON option (“Enable RCON”) is on, and note the RCON Port.
Also note the Admin Password.
Restart the server.

The IP address is at the top of your server page, like 123.45.67.89:7777: keep only the part before the “:”.

2. Add your server to the ranking

Create an account (free), add your server, then open the Discord bot tab of your management page.

3. Invite the bot to your Discord

Click “Invite the bot” and pick your Discord: it’s linked to your server automatically.

4. Add your maps

For each map: name, IP address, RCON port and admin password. Click “Test”: the number of online players shows up if everything is right. Cluster? Each map has its own RCON port: add them one by one (up to 40 maps).

5. Choose the reward

RCON commands: for example points for your server’s shop, sent to the player using their EOS ID.
Or the bot currency: every vote fills the player’s Discord wallet, which they spend in your shop on Discord (dinos, items…).

6. Post the welcome message

With the Link button (the player links their character, once) and Vote (their personal vote link). A linked player is recognised for sure and gets their reward on the map they play on.

FAQ

Is it free? Yes, the ranking and the bot are free.

Does it work with crossplay and consoles? Yes: everything goes through the server’s RCON, whatever the players’ platform.

What if the player is offline? Their reward waits: they claim it later with the “Claim rewards” button on Discord.

What else does the bot do? Vote announcements, voter ranking and monthly winners, map status with online players, cross chat between your maps and Discord, “you can vote again” reminders by private message.

🔐 Security: turn on two-factor authentication on your site account (My account › 🔐). Your account controls the bot and your RCON access: with a code on your phone on top of your password, nobody can take it over.
